Design and Content

1. What are my payment options?

   Payment to CTN Consulting may be made my check, or online by credit card or Paypal.

   For projects with a quote of under $500, payment in full is required at the time a contract is executed. For projects with a quote over $500, 50% deposit is required along with a signed contract for beginning work, with the remaining half due upon completion of the project.

2. How many changes can I make to the web site once I view the first design template?

   You can make as many changes as you wish to the design template. We encourage clients to give plenty of feedback so that we are able to deliver the same product they envision.

3. How do I check and accept my Website?

   Once we have created a web site draft for you, we will put it live on our development server. We will continue to welcome your feedback until you are satisfied. Upon your approval, we proceed to the next step. When the website is ready, we will put the most current version on our development server again for your final approval and minor tweaks.

4. Once my website is completed, what maintenance services do you offer?

   We fully support any website we create and are always available should you encounter any problems or require any enhancements. We offer web site maintenance so that your website need never be outdated. Please contact us for more information regarding our website maintenance plans.

5. Once the site is complete, can I make changes and updates to it myself?

   Yes,we offer an optional CMS (content management system). We can customize the CMS to your professional website and add features specific to your organization. With this CMS you will be able to build new pages, edit existing pages, upload images, documents and more.

   Our CMS allows you to make text changes to your web site at your convenience, while maintaining site standards for style, layout, and code.

6. Am I tied to CTN Consulting for any site maintenance or updates I wish to do once my website is designed?

   No once your website is designed it belongs to you and you can commission anyone to update it for you - although of course we would like to think that you are happy with our services and will continue to use us for your website maintenance.

1. I don't have a logo. Do your services include logo design?

   At this time, CTN Consulting does not provide logo design work. However, CTN Consulting has partnered with several graphic designers who specialize in logo design at affordable prices.

2. I do not have any imagery for my Web site, but I want some. How can I get some photography/graphics for my Web site?

   If you do not have any imagery of your own, we generally add imagery from different stock photography Web sites on the Internet, such as iStockphoto.com. These images are relatively inexpensive and are added to the project estimate. You are welcome to also search stock photography Web sites on the Internet and make suggestions of your own.

3. How do I get my logo, graphics and text content to you?

   As we are setting up your web site, you can upload online or email. Our preferred method of delivery is electronical. However, if needed, you can mail, send overnight mail or fax.

4. Is it mandatory for me to legally register my web site for copyright protection in order to display the copyright symbol on my site?

   Technically, your site is copyrighted as soon as you save it, but registering the copyright with the U.S. Copyright Office gives you legal protections that you don't get otherwise, including the ability to sue plagiarists for statutory damages and attorney's fees. If you don't register the copyright, you can only sue for actual losses.

   A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that provides users with online systems for storing information, images, video, or other content accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by website owners. You need the best hosting service for your web page to be accessible and powerful.

2. What is a domain name and why do I need one?

   Every Web site must have a domain name. A domain name is your Web site's unique address on the Internet.

   As an example, the domain name for CTN Consulting is http://www.ctnconsulting.com. The most common domain names will end in .com, .net, or .org, but there are many more to choose from.

3. Would I be able to use my own web hosting service?

   Although CTN Consulting's Premier Club rewards includes free web hosting for the first 12 months, you are welcome to use your own web host. We will work with you to get your site set up with your host provider.

4. What happens once my free web hosting period with CTN Consulting expires?

   CTN Consulting offers very affordable web hosting on its reliable stable servers if you wish to remain on our servers. If you do choose to use your own web host, we will assist you in the transfer.

5. Who owns the completed Web site?

   Once the final payment is received, you will receive 100% ownership of your Web site.
